How Can I Know Jesus?

The Bible teaches that “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God created you, loves you deeply, and desires a relationship with you. But there is a problem…

Every one of us has done, said, or thought things that are wrong. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Because God is holy and perfect, our sin creates a separation between us and Him. The Bible also says, “The wages of sin is death.” But that’s not where the story ends.

Jesus, the Son of God, lived a perfect, sinless life. He willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. The Bible says, “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead. He is alive today and offers the gift of eternal life to anyone who believes in Him. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

God reaches out to you with love. “To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”

If you want to accept Jesus as your Savior and turn from your sins, you can ask Him to forgive you and come into your life. A prayer like this can help express your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask You to come into my heart and life as my Lord and Savior. I want to follow You always.”
